Blade Runner 2099 Series Greenlit at Amazon Studios With Ridley Scott as Executive Producer: Report

Blade Runner 2099 series is a go at Amazon. As per Variety, the studio has officially greenlit a sequel to 2017’s Blade Runner, set 50 years later. Silka Luisa, best known for Shining Girls, is the showrunner, while Ridley Scott serves as the executive producer. The 10-episode series will premiere on Amazon Prime Video. Scott has written the pilot episode.
