Micron on Wednesday began mass production of its new high-capacity low-power 1-beta dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chips at its new plant in Japan. Located at Hiroshima, the facility will product Micron's latest memory chip that can store a third more data than older chips, as the company tries to revive and modernise its once-mighty chip industry.
