Why is JIO providing free access to Internet as well as calls?

All the network service providers have to give tax on voice calls, message service and internet usage which their customers are using to TRAI. As per my knowledge it is about 10% on voice calls and is only about 2% on data usage. We do not get free seconds on JIO network. There is an app (JIO4gvoice) which lets you call to another user who has the same app and it uses mobile data. Since data is free for now it appears to be free calling. So to catch the market Reliance industries have used this trick. So you can clearly see why JIO is providing free calls.

Well free data is over. There were these free trial JIO sim cards till September. Please do check their website. Jio 4G LTE NetworkThey are having low tariff on internet data usage. But it is not completely free. If you look at their happy hours it is from 2 am-5 am(point no 2 in Terms and conditions). Most of human beings tend to sleep at that time. So internet is not free my friend but it comes at a low cost.
