TSMC on Thursday reported a 78 percent rise in fourth quarter profit, as the world's largest contract chipmaker and a major Apple supplier saw its net Q4 profit hit a record TWD 295.9 billion (roughly Rs. 77,570 crore) amid a broader industry downturn. The firm's dominance in making some of the world's most advanced chips has kept its order book full, analysts said.
